Espagne: Event to Focus on Wojtyla's Philosophical Thought
An international congress hopes to fill the intellectual gap implied in the lack of study of Karol Wojtyla's philosophical thought.

The reason for holding the congress is that "John Paul II is a decisive figure in 20th-century history and we have hardly begun to perceive his importance in numerous realms," said Juan Manuel Burgos, president and founder of the Spanish Association for Personalism.
"Despite the fact that his work was truncated with his election as Pope, he had time to lay the basis for an ambitious and intrepid project that brings together the philosophy of being -- Aristotle and St. Thomas -- around the concept of person, and the philosophy of conscience -- modern philosophy," said Burgos.
The congress will focus on four areas that follow Wojtyla's most innovative thought: anthropology, ethics, man-woman interaction and family. http://www.personalismo.org
Among the speakers will be Father Krzysztof Guzowski, professor of Christian personalism at the Catholic University of Lublin, and Father Jaroslaw Merecki, professor at the John Paul II Institute at the
